Jackie completed her degree in Applied Science (Physiotherapy) at Cumberland College of Health Sciences in 1986. She completed an intern year at Westmead and Parramatta hospitals before entering Private Practice. She completed post graduate studies at Sydney University attaining a Diploma in Manipulative Physiotherapy in 1991, becoming a Titled Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist. She then completed a Masters in Manipulative Physiotherapy in 1993. She has been a Member of the Australian Physiotherapy association since 1986 and she has also maintained memberships of the Sports Physiotherapy and Manual Therapy Interest groups since this time.
Complementing her academic studies Jackie has worked in Sports Physiotherapy. She initially worked with Norths Leagues Junior Representative teams for 3 years and concurrently with Pennant Hills Rugby League. She went on to work for the Sydney Rugby Union Representative teams for 3 years and was the Physiotherapist to Northern Suburbs Rugby Union for 10 years. She worked as a Volunteer Physiotherapist for the Sydney Olympics, working with Fencing, Beach Volleyball, Water Polo and Triathlon sports.
She was appointed as Physiotherapist to the Australian team to the World University Games in Beijing, China in 2001. She fulfilled the position as Head Physiotherapist to the Australian team to further games in Daegu, South Korea 2003, Izmir Turkey 2007, Belgrade Serbia in 2009 and Shenzhen China 2011. In particular she worked with Swimming, Water Polo, Basketball and Sailing athletes.
In 1995 Jackie opened Allsports & Spinal Physiotherapy. She has felt a strong responsibility to providing high quality patient care. She has participated regularly in continuing education courses and has been appointed by the APA as a Tutor for Musculoskeletal courses provided the Australian Physiotherapy Association. Emphasis is placed on staff education and training to ensure all patients receive a standardised high quality of care.
Jackie's own sporting focus has changed from field hockey to golf, as you don't need to chase the ball. In more recent years she was introduced to sailing and her sense of adventure has been challenged by Offshore racing including the Sydney to Hobart Yacht Race.
Bec completed a Bachelor of Health Sciences in 2011 and a Masters in Health Sciences in 2014 at the University of Sydney. She graduated with a Disctinction average.
Bec worked at Leeton Physiotherapy Centre within a team of 5 physios. Working in regional NSW she developed experience in treating a wide variety of musculoskeletal sports injuries. She taught Pilates and completed Dry Needling Courses. Bec provided sports coverage to the Leeton Phantoms Rugby Union Club.
Bec's analytical approach to assesment and treatment combined with evidence based medical practice enables her to maximise postive outcomes for patients. She has a particular interest in musculoskeletal physiotherapy, sports rehabilitation and exercise prescription. Bec consistantly looks to bring in evidence based practice to her treatments.
Bec's interest in sport started early, playing T-Ball with the Turramurra Kittens at age 5. Whilst in the country she took up Rugby 7's and golf. Bec is currently playing soccer with the Turramurra Tigers and is keen to snowboard at any opportunity. She is happy to converse about any sport.
Jana joined our team in 2009 initially working part time and in 2014 moved to full time.
With a background in Nursing and IT she is responsible for all things related to the smooth running of the practice.
Jana has an in depth understanding of all our practice procedures and is able to answer any query you may have.
